Significant Deal with The Holly Blue

Eastbourne Speedway has landed a major and significant sponsorship and partnership on the eve of the new season.

The Fineprint Eagles have linked with The Holly Blue pub and carvery between Hailsham and Stone Cross.

The Holly Blue is a very popular local venue and the sponsorship package includes substantial financial support, together with a host of benefits for both the club and supporters.

Details of these will be announced in due course.

Club Business and Commercial Director Ian Jordan commented: “I am delighted at the announcement and the passionate support that Leigh Capon, general manager of The Holly Blue, has for speedway and the Eastbourne Fineprint Eagles.

“The deal includes significant backing also from the Marston’s Group, a nationally known and widely respected brand.

“The deal will not only benefit the club significantly on its return to professional speedway in the Championship, but there will also be some fantastic deals and benefits for our supporters.

“The arrangements will allow the club and team to utilise The Holly Blue venue for supporter-based functions and events; especially after a significant refurbishment planned for mid May 2019.”

Eastbourne Speedway will also support The Holly Blue in its fund-raising for Macmillan Cancer Support, which will become the club’s own nominated charity for the 2019 season, together with the usual Ben Fund (Speedway Riders’ Benevolent Fund).

A collection for each will be arranged at some point during the 2019 season.

There are also added benefits in terms of advertising and awareness of the Eastbourne Fineprint Eagles, that will be linked to other Marston’s Group outlets across the area.

“It supports our intention to raise awareness of the club in and around the local and wider community,” Mr Jordan said.

Eastbourne Speedway is close to finalising accommodation organised by the Marston’s Group for riders, officials and a VIP supporter package for our Northern Tour in August, which we aim to announce before the start of our season.

The first fixture at Arlington is on April 6 with an 8pm start when Birmingham are the visitors in the Championship Shield.
