Eagles v Lions: Raceday update

The Eastbourne Fineprint Eagles and the Leicester Lions go head-to-head this afternoon for the second time in less than 24 hours.

Last night the Sussex club fell away over the last three heats at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena to go down 53-37.

Captain Edward Kennett and his Eagles will be looking for quick revenge when the action resumes at Arlington Stadium, 3.30pm.

Raceday update

Weather: A dry, cool day with some sun.

Traffic: For those of you coming from the east (Hastings area) and who usually drive along the A271, note:

The  A271 is closed at Lower Horsebridge both ways from Hawks Road to B2104 London Road. That’s near the Boship roundabout (A22 and A267 clear). Our advice is to come via the ‘marsh road’  – Pevensey by-pass.

Team news: Eagles are at full strength. The Lions, who were already using rider replacement for Ryan Douglas, lost Josh Bates injured last night. Edinburgh’s Josh Pickering will guest in his place.
