Richard takes 2nd Place in British Final

The Eastbourne HG Aerospace Eagles Richard Lawson took 2nd place in the British Final at The National Speedway Stadium, Belle Vue.

After completing his five qualifying rides in challenging wet conditions, the Eagles heat leader went straight through to the final where he was pipped to the top podium spot by Rory Schlein, with former 3 x World Champion Jason Crump third.

Following the withdrawal of Edward Kennett earlier in the day, the Eagles were also represented by Lewi Kerr, Drew Kemp & Tom Brennan.

Lewi Kerr took a tape to flags victory in heat one, before failing to score in his next two rides. A third and a final heat win took his tally to 7 points.

The Eagles young rising stars Drew Kemp and Tom Brennan both gave a fantastic account for themselves, with Kemp scoring 8 points, including two heat victories, to narrowly miss out on qualifying for the Semi-Final, whilst Bennan, looking competitive, scored five points including a fantastic battle with Ben Barker in heat 19.
