Volunteer Roles Available

Volunteer staff with good communication skills are needed to help at Eastbourne Speedway this season.

The Fineprint Eagles also need track marshals and more experienced first aiders.

Racing begins at Arlington Stadium in a little over six weeks and more staff are needed to help ensure supporters have a great night out.

The aim is to add to our staff roster and to cover for holidays and all contingencies during the coming season.

COMMUNITY PROGRAMME/STADIUM GUIDES

Job description:

Our community programme, sponsored by HG Aerospace, will seek to welcome large groups of potential new supporters of all ages to Eastbourne Speedway in 2019.

We will require guides and helpers to assist with some groups who may have special needs and also to act as GUIDES to explain how speedway matches work and to act as stadium guides prior to racing (all training and guidance notes will be provided).

EXPERIENCED FIRST AIDERS 

Job description: 

To supplement our existing and excellent first aid team to support on-track and stadium first aid requirements. The minimum qualification is a current First Aid Certificate issued under the Health and Safety 1981. 

TRACK MARSHALS 

Job description:

To work under supervision on the track during race meetings. Training will be provided. Candidates should be fit and healthy.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Job description:

To work at the TURNSTILES / TRACK SHOP / PROGRAMME SALES points and our new ONLINE MERCHANDISE Order Collection Point. 

These roles will ideally suit those with good customer service and communication skills background. Any experience of cash handling and good mathematical skills would be advantageous.

For the 2019 season all track staff and workers will be provided with new branded clothing as part of our deal with new merchandise sponsors Corporate Connection Limited. 

All roles are voluntary.

A Free Admission Pass will be provided specifically for occasions when you are required to work

It is not envisaged that you will always be required at all fixtures as we are keen to recruit not just for 2019 but for future seasons and to build a ‘bank’ of staff for the future.
