Eagles are GO!

The Eastbourne Eagles are delighted to announce their participation in the 2019 Championship as professional speedway returns to the South East for the first time since 2014.

The full Eagles management structure for the step up will be announced at a later date.

It will include former Co-Promoter Jon Cook, who worked in tandem with the late Bob Dugard winning the League Championship in 1995 and 2000.

Commercial Manager Ian Jordan commented: “The place is buzzing with excitement and I’m delighted not only to be involved in this terrific project, but to be able today to announce four of the riders who will don the Eagles colours in 2019.

“All our fans will be delighted to hear that Tom Brennan and Georgie Wood will again be part of our magnificent seven and to watch them develop to the next stage of their careers will be a joy to all.

“Joining them and riding under Jon’s stewardship for a third successive year will be the ever improving Alfie Bowtell;  whilst adding experience and great excitement to the third heat leader position is Lewis Kerr.

“I’m sure that all Eagles fans will welcome Alfie and Lewis to the Club as fantastic acquisitions”.

The complete 1 to 7 line up is secured; and names will be confirmed in the run up to Christmas; as the next phase of the Eagles history begins to unfold.
