Eagles Ex-Riders Association

The Eastbourne Eagles Ex-Riders Association aims to welcome as many former Eagles as possible to Arlington in 2020.

The Association has been established by Ken Burnett, John Ling and Kevin Ling, assisted by former Eagles Gordon Kennett and Colin Ackroyd.

In addition to welcoming any former Eastbourne rider to Arlington at any time as our guest, the ex-Riders Association will also work in conjunction with a proposed 90th Anniversary meeting, to be scheduled later in the year.

Eagles Director Ian Jordan outlined the initial plans for the meeting in the first episode of the club’s new Podcast channel “Eagles on the Airwaves” (click here to listen at 28.22 minutes)

The Association now has a dedicated section on the Eagles site, with a current, comprehensive list of all riders who have ridden competitively for the Eagles over the last 90 years, and a number of Eagles images from through the decades, courtesy of Ken Burnett.

The Association page, which also contains the contact details for any former rider (or their families) to get in touch to join, can be viewed here.

The club will be launching a limited-edition enamel badge for supporters to purchase to commemorate all of the old riders over the past 91 years, with all proceeds passed to the Ex-riders’ Association trustees to help finance any events they may wish to organise.
