Trevor Geer’s rallying cry

Eastbourne Speedway have issued a rallying cry to both riders and supporters after a run of five successive defeats.

Co-promoter and joint team manager, Trevor Geer, believes the team is far better that this month’s results have indicated.

Now he wants his riders to show that once again to the fans when they face Berwick Bandits at Arlington Stadium on Saturday (May 25).

Geer said: “Changes in the averages have allowed us to rebalance the team.

“Small, individual errors in the last couple of home meetings brought about the defeats to Leicester and Glasgow.

“Yes, riders were under pressure but that’s when we look to them to deliver.”

The Fineprint Eagles introduce Kyle Newman at No 4 in place of Tom Brennan and Alfie Bowtell moves to the reserve berth.

Geer added: “The secret is to learn from the setbacks and put those mistakes right.

“That’s what we are doing, both on and off track.

“Eastbourne Speedway is working 24/7 to get things right and bring success which we all crave.”

Eastbourne v Berwick begins at 7.30pm.
